Outdoor Decorating Ideas for Fall

If you’re someone who counts the calendar days until the first day of fall, you probably are also excited to decorate the outside and inside of your home to celebrate the autumn season! Need some extra ideas for outdoor decorating for fall? We’ve got you covered.

Is it even fall without a gourd or two? Add some light to your front porch or doorway with some cute pumpkin votive candles! To do this, simply carve a pumpkins in any manner of fun design that you wish (avoid scary faces for now, and save the spook for closer to Halloween! Once you’ve thought of a fun design and have carved the pumpkin, simply place a votive candle inside, light it, and watch the glow from your front porch or front steps. Suddenly everything will feel more festive! Additionally, spruce things up even more by using different sizes of pumpkins.

Autumn Themed Arrangements

Another fun idea is a festive tabletop design that features an autumn-themed arrangement! For instance, place potted plants, art pieces, and all sorts of different sized and colored pumpkins on the table as a way to create a decoration that’s both eclectic and organic. This is something that can be placed anywhere around your home, but makes a great visual impact around entrances or places that can be seen from the road.

Fall Wreath

You may see wreaths all over town around the winter holidays, but what about a fall wreath? A warm-toned wreath featuring leaves that are gold, orange and red mixed in with small pumpkins or glitter can really liven up your front door and get you in the mood for the season! You can easily create one of these on your own using leaves that have fallen into your own yard, or pick up some plastic leaves from a craft store that can be used year after year.

Pumpkin Flower Pot

Another fun idea to consider is creating a flower pot for your front porch area using a pumpkin. While this may sound like a rather unique idea, it’s one that will certainly provide an extremely autumn-like feel! All you will have to do is simply carve out a pumpkin of any size and place blooming flowers of your choice into it before placing it onto your porch to display to the neighborhood.
