Round Rock yards split along the interstate. West of I-35, toward Brushy Creek, the ground turns to limestone and slopes like the Hill Country; east of it, the Blackland Prairie clay is deep, black and moves hard between wet and dry. A great many neighborhoods are HOA-governed, with rules on structures, drainage changes and tree removal, and the city runs watering restrictions through the summer. All of that shapes the plan before the first stone is set.
Which side of I-35 you live on decides how we build. On the limestone side, a patio base goes down fast and a shrub bed needs real soil brought in; drainage is about slope and where the runoff goes. On the blackland side, the clay swells in a wet spring and shrinks into cracks by August, so patios, edging and outdoor kitchens sit on a properly compacted, engineered base or they heave. We have built on both for years and the estimate will say which one you have.

Do you work in HOA neighborhoods in Round Rock?
Yes. Many Round Rock neighborhoods require approval for structures, drainage changes and tree removal. We give you a plan with sketches and a plant list that you can submit to the association, and we will flag early anything we think is likely to need approval — a pergola, a fence change, removing turf for a xeriscape.
Are fire pits allowed in Round Rock?
Generally yes, with rules. The City of Round Rock's fire department and code enforcement set requirements on fire pit types, setbacks and what can be burned, and wood-burning fires are typically restricted during a burn ban while gas fire pits usually are not. We build both and will help you choose based on your lot, the wind and the current rules.
