Landscaping & Masonry Williamson County, Texas

West Leander, off Lakeline · Based in Georgetown

Landscaping & masonry in Mason Hills,
ready for round two.

Mason Hills is a neighborhood in west Leander, off North Lakeline Boulevard and right next to Crystal Falls. It was built on land that was once the Mason Ranch. The first families moved in around 2014. The last sections were done by 2021. Many builders worked here, so stone, brick and newer Hill Country styles share the same street. Some homes back up to the greenbelt and trails, and some have Hill Country views. Most Mason Hills yards still have the beds, shrubs and sprinklers the builder put in. Those are now five to twelve years old, and that is when they start to wear out. That refresh is the work we do here most.

Mason Hills, specifically

The builder yard, ten years on.

We are based in Georgetown and work across Leander. Mason Hills sits on the same rocky Hill Country ground as the rest of west Leander. So the fix is rarely just new plants. It usually starts with the soil, the slope and the sprinkler system underneath.

A builder yard looks fine on move-in day and then ages fast. Shrubs planted close to the house outgrow the windows. The sod thins where the young trees now cast shade. Beds lose their edge, and the mulch is gone. None of that means the yard was badly built. It means it was built to sell a house, not to last. We pull out what has failed and keep the trees and plants that are doing well. Then we replant with natives that fit the sun and shade the yard has now.

Under all of it is thin, rocky soil over limestone. Many Mason Hills lots slope toward the street or the greenbelt. Water runs off before it soaks in, so beds dry out and low spots stay wet. We fix the grade where it matters. We add a dry creek bed or stone edging to steer the water, and switch beds to drip lines where we can.

The sprinkler systems here have run for years. Older heads and valves start to leak or spray the sidewalk. A licensed irrigator checks every zone before we lay sod or plant a bed. That way the new yard does not die from an old problem. Many homeowners also add a flagstone patio, fire pit or outdoor kitchen while the crew is there.

Questions

Mason Hills, answered.

Can you refresh the builder landscaping in Mason Hills without starting over?

Yes. Most of our Mason Hills work is a refresh, not a redo. We walk the yard, keep the trees and plants that are healthy, and replace what has failed. Then we fix the edges, the soil and the sprinklers so the new beds last.

What landscaping and masonry services do you offer in Mason Hills?

Everything we do, we do in Mason Hills: landscape design and installation, xeriscaping and zeroscaping, lawn replacement, irrigation repair, landscape maintenance, stone, flagstone, paver and concrete patios, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and outdoor fireplaces, pergolas, and metal and iron fencing. Both trades are in-house, so one crew handles the stonework and the planting around it.

Do you provide irrigation repair in Mason Hills?

Yes. Our irrigation work is led by a Texas Licensed Irrigator (LI0028648): broken heads, valves, leaks, damaged pipe, controller programming, coverage adjustments and seasonal inspections, all performed to TCEQ requirements.

Can you replace a lawn in Mason Hills?

Yes. We remove the failing turf, prepare and grade the soil, install new sod and leave you with watering and establishment guidance. Fall and spring are the best windows in Central Texas, and we will tell you if the irrigation needs fixing first — new sod over a broken system fails again.

Do you build stone patios and outdoor kitchens in Mason Hills?

Yes. Flagstone, chopped limestone, travertine, pavers and poured concrete for patios; natural Texas stone with built-in grills, counters, sinks and bar seating for outdoor kitchens. The base is engineered for Central Texas clay so the surface stays level through wet and dry.

Is the estimate free in Mason Hills?

Yes. Every estimate is free and no-obligation, and it starts with us walking the property — soil, drainage, sun, and the existing landscape — before we put a number on paper. Call (512) 635-7701 or use the contact form to set one up.

Does Mason Hills have rules for landscaping changes?

Mason Hills is a planned neighborhood with its own community standards. We design to the community's standards. We tell you early if part of the plan may need a review, so you can submit it before work starts.
